the farm

it's been over five years since i've been on my grandparent's farm in southeast iowa. much has changed in my life in the last few years- a perpetual state of flux. the farm, however, is trapped in time. my 92 year old grandma moves a little slower, and speaks a little less deliberatly, but she moves within an environment that is forever 1995. it was comforting to step back.

I am your Dad's 2nd cousin, perhaps that makes me your third cousin? Not sure. I too, have many good memories from "the farm".
My siblings and I always call it the "funny farm" as we had so much fun when we visited there. So many laughs and great times, how much fun if we could go back in time. Aunt Dorothy and her farm are a true treasure.
I enjoy your pictures so much, and find your blogs interesting as well. I wish you and Dea all the best with the kidney transplant.
All the best to you in 2007 !
