he's back

last week Jorg Colberg wrote a post about a new project by Alec Soth titled, The Last Days of W. i sat down then to write a post myself about Alec, his new project, and the little bit i know about the time he spent in Nome. but, as has happened a lot lately- the words didn't come.

tonight though i see that he's taken over the wheel of the Magnum blog. Alec authored the most compelling photography blog out there for as long as he could stomach it. i learned more there about photography, art, process, and the temperament of a brilliant photographer than i'm likely to find anywhere again. i'm pleased to see him coming forward again. it's about time.
