50 States Project

A couple months ago, Stuart Pilkington asked me if I would represent Alaska in his newest venture - the 50 States Project. Given the state of America I'm curious to see how the collective focus evolves over the year.

The premise is simple - 50 photographers get a one word assignment every two months of 2009 and show one image. The first assignment was people. The following are personal favorites by three photographers whom I admire:
