i'm taking an art history class this semester - Field Artists of the North. we'll be sketching often in class, which i wasn't expecting. it's felt good, and it's been too long. last class, Mareca Guthrie said something in regards to drawing that tripped me up. she said, "define your mark with minimal lines". perfect, i think.
i'm taking off toward Finger Mountain tonight for a couple days of driving, sleeping in the truck, and long exposures. it's been too long. among other things, i'll be looking for minimal lines.
