pdn has an interview with alec soth today. i can't stress enough how much i like his work. sleeping by the mississippi was one of the few photography books i bought in '05. being a product of the mississippi river valley myself i have a profound love and respect for that river. the culture, community, and heart of it's banks leaves me with fond memories.
his newest project, niagara, is equally as personal and vivid. another body of water, another myth, another truth. brilliant.
