in alaska the communities shoot fireworks on the first day of the new year. the long daylight hours in the summer mean that the traditional 4th of july act is stymied, so we opt for the winter alternative. today was the first spring like day we have seen. like the new years fireworks last month, the coming season holds countless new experiences.
